Refund and Returns Policy

This Return & Refund Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and disputes are handled by MJ Xclusive Bakers & Events Limited (“MJ Xclusive Bakers”, “we”, “us”, “our”). This policy applies to all orders placed through our website, social media platforms, WhatsApp, phone, or in person.
- Nature of Our Products
1.1 All cakes, pastries, desserts, and baked items are freshly prepared and often custom-made.
1.2 Due to the perishable and customized nature of our products, returns are not accepted once an order has been delivered or picked up.
- Eligibility for Refunds
Refunds may be considered only under the following circumstances:
2.1 Order Not Delivered
If MJ Xclusive Bakers fails to deliver a confirmed and fully paid order due to reasons within our control.
2.2 Wrong Order Supplied
If the product delivered is significantly different from the confirmed order (e.g., wrong size, flavor, or inscription).
2.3 Severe Quality Issues
If the product is proven to be unfit for consumption at the time of delivery.
Note: Minor design variations, taste preferences, or artistic differences do not qualify as defects.
- Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- Change of mind after order confirmation
- Failure to pick up an order at the agreed time
- Damage caused after delivery or pickup
- Incorrect information provided by the customer
- Custom cakes once production has commenced
- Delivery delays caused by traffic, weather, or force majeure events
- Dissatisfaction based on personal taste preferences
- Cancellations
4.1 Orders may be cancelled 48–72 hours before the scheduled delivery or pickup time.
4.2 Cancellations made after production has started are non-refundable.
4.3 Where a refund is approved, administrative or processing fees may be deducted.
- Refund Process
5.1 All refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery or pickup.
5.2 Requests must include:
- Order reference or receipt
- Clear photographic evidence (where applicable)
- Description of the issue
5.3 Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method used.
5.4 Refund timelines:
- Card, wallet, or online payments: 5–10 working days (subject to banks and payment partners)
- Bank transfers: up to 14 working days
- Partial Refunds & Alternatives
6.1 In some cases, we may offer:
- Partial refunds
- Store credit
- Replacement products
6.2 The resolution method will be determined at our discretion based on the nature of the complaint.
- Delivery Fees
Delivery charges are non-refundable once dispatch has occurred, even if a refund is approved for the product.
- Dispute Resolution
8.1 Customers are encouraged to contact MJ Xclusive Bakers directly to resolve issues amicably.
8.2 Payment disputes or chargebacks raised without prior communication may delay resolution.
8.3 Where payments are made via third-party payment partners, disputes may also be subject to their resolution processes.
- Limitation of Liability
Our liability under this policy is limited strictly to the value of the affected product paid for. We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

This policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
